Cycle of Thought
Cycle of Thought, is an interactive art piece designed to touch on my experience as a bike commuter. I hooked my bike up to an Arduino and using Max, a programming application, I made it possible to control the video’s speed depending on how fast the rider is pedaling. By creating this video which flashes between my bike commute in Normal, Illinois, versus the route I took while studying abroad in the Netherlands, viewers were able to experience the difference between transportation in these two locations.
This piece was chosen to be showcased in the 2018 Illinois State University School of Art Student Annual and was awarded the Arts Technology Program Achievement in Interactive Media and Technology Award.
